Andromeda canon goes alternatively by two date systems. CY (common year. I think) and AFC (Start date the year the Commonwealth fell, yes)
CY translates to AD as such:
6811 CY = 1885 AD and I'm going to assume approximately same year length (Tarn Vedra is a planet very much like Earth so...), so subtracting 4926 from CY gets you AD. ... this is the date the last of "Also Sprach Zarathustra" was published, yes. That said!
Important dates:
7055 CY/2129 AD: First contact of Earth with Commonwealth
7085 CY/2159 AD: Earth joins the Commonwealth (and it's remarked that this is REALLY FAST for a species that... hadn't developed slipstream on its own)
8402 CY/3476 AD: Drago Museveni, Nietzschean "progenitor" born.
9766 CY/4840 AD: Magog attack Brandenburg Tor. nearly 3 billion dead. This is pretty much 100% of the planet's resident population, being that it was a tiny resort.
9781 CY/4855 AD: Treaty of Anteres signed with the Magog. Nietzscheans pissed off and threaten to secede. They are talked down. Supposedly.
9784 CY/4858 AD: Nietzscheans secede (and had been planning it all along) from the Commonwealth starting a bloody civil war
9786 CY/4860 AD/1 AFC: Last battle of the civil war fought. Long Night begins
9797 CY/4871 AD/11 AFC: Wayism founded by a Magog (Called The Anointed) on Earth ... even so, Magog Wayists are really damn rare
10087 CY/5161 AD/301 AFC: Eureka Maru crew rescue Andromeda.
10088 CY/5162 AD/302 AFC: Harper finds his way to Exsilium. (He will amend the date as time in Exsilium passes, just for his own personal reference. He thinks in CY/AFC, not AD. So right now his year is 10088 CY)
